As a major donor, you can also personally experience the significant impact your generous contribution makes on the lives of people with low vision or blindness.

You can choose to directly support:

  • One of our dog programs.
  • Specific low vision or blindness training and support services for adults or children.
  • Capital works.
  • The purchase of equipment.
  • Research like our Smart Collar Project.
  • Fund a particular region of NSW or the ACT by joining the Canberra Giving Circle.
  • Other meaningful Guide Dogs services and initiatives.

When you donate a Major Gift to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, there is an option to donate to a tailored opportunity to suit your personal interests, values and goals.  can be one-off or planned over a series of pledged gifts to support an ongoing service or project.

As a Guide Dogs major donor, you will also receive special invitations to experience your support in action through personalised impact reports, unique experiences and opportunities to meet expert Guide Dogs services staff.

With more than 80 percent of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT’s funding coming from community donations, your Major Gift plays a vital role in making our essential services possible for people with low vision or blindness across NSW and the ACT.

Major Gift packages: High impact giving with Guide Dogs.

Major Gift packages directly fund popular Guide Dogs NSW/ACT services and programs and provide exclusive benefits to our major donors.

  1. Guide Dog Partner

    exclusively name and sponsor a Guide Dog, from birth to graduation in its chosen career.

  2. Vet Partner

    sponsor the expert veterinary team who keep our life-changing dogs and puppies fit and healthy. Find out about becoming a Guide Dog Vet Partner.

  3. Retired Guide Dogs

    support our hardworking Guide Dogs after retirement by helping cover costs such as specialist foods, medications and emergency procedures. Learn more about supporting our Retired Guide Dogs.

  4. Home Whelping Partner

    assist our breeding mums, puppies and the team of staff and volunteers who look after them.

  5. Children’s Champion

    directly support children aged zero to 17 who are blind or have low vision through programs such as School Ready, adventure camps and personalised skills training.

  6. Independent Living Partner

    help people with low vision or blindness to continue living independently and safely at home.

  7. Special Project Partner

    fund a new priority project for Guide Dogs.

It costs more than $50,000 to breed, raise and train a Guide Dog. You can become a Guide Dog Partner and exclusively name and sponsor a service dog from birth to graduation in its chosen career. This is a unique and rewarding way to experience your support for Guide Dogs in action.

With a one-off Guide Dog donation from $50,000, you can:

  • Exclusively choose the name, colour and gender of your puppy.
  • Enjoy private visits with your puppy and invite the family along!
