Follow our playful puppies on their life-changing journeys towards their future careers as Guide Dogs. 

As a Puppy Pal, your regular monthly donation to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT helps our adorable pups have the best start in life. 

You’ll be part of every special moment as they learn the complex skills they need for their fulfilling future careers. With your ongoing support, these puppies will go on to give the gift of greater confidence, mobility and independence to people with low vision or blindness.

How being a Guide Dogs Puppy Pal makes a profound difference

Did you know it costs over $50,000 and takes more than two years to breed, raise and train one of our life-changing Guide Dogs? It’s a remarkable journey that our pups simply couldn’t undertake without the support of generous regular donors like you.

As a Puppy Pal for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, your monthly contribution has an immediate and lasting impact. You help our puppies get the best possible start right from birth and every stage of their development. Your regular Guide Dogs donation supports our latest litters of puppies, pup training and enrichment equipment, kennel facilities, veterinary costs, and our expert dog training team.

Puppy Pals’ impact at a glance

Your monthly generosity helps fund our world-class Guide Dog Program and ultimately transform the lives of people with low vision or blindness. As well as deliver life-changing Therapy Dogs to the individuals and facilities who need them most.

Here are some outcomes from the 2025 financial year made possible by regular givers like you:

  1. 176 puppies were born

    into the loving homes of our volunteer Home Whelpers and received early development equipment and their first training jackets

  2. 155 dogs

    were matched with new Handlers, including Guide Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Breeding Dogs and Ambassador Dogs.

  3. 278 Guide Dogs

    working in the community, offering companionship and independence to people with low vision or blindness.

  4. 93 Therapy Dogs

    matched with their new Handlers, helping individuals or facilities such as courts, schools, aged care and emergency and frontline services.

  5. 59 Canine Court dogs

    supporting victims of crime when visiting court.
